DONT DO LASER HAIR REMOVAL!! My Story & Regrets! PCOS | Chanelli

Don’t do laser hair removal! Laser hair removal gone wrong. My laser story, journey, experience on my face. Why I regret getting laser hair removal and the side effects. PCOS facial hair removal. It is not a permanent facial hair removal method.

What Is Laser Hair Removal?
Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that uses a powerful laser or ‘intense pulsed light’ (IPL) to remove unwanted hair. This light source heats and destroys hair follicles in the skin, which disrupts hair growth. Common areas to treat are the face, legs, arms, underarms and bikini line. It can be useful for women with excessive hair growth. Generally, it’s most effective on women with pale skin and dark hair, and doesn’t work so well on women with dark skin. Some people think it’s a permanent hair removal option for your face and body but the results of laser hair removal are not permanent. They usually last from weeks to months, and regular sessions may be needed to achieve and maintain the desired effect. There’s no guarantee it will clear all the hair.

ALTERNATIVE HAIR REMOVAL OPTIONS FOR PCOS SUFFERERS?
– Medications to control excessive hair growth (hirsutism) and hair loss (alopecia) include: Cyproterone acetate, Spironolactone, Flutamide and Finasteride. These medications work by blocking the effects of “male hormones”, such as testosterone, and some also suppress production of these hormones by the ovaries.
– Plucking, Waxing and Shaving

(Information above taken from NHS website. There are lasers for darker complexions that work, just look into it)

  1. What is Rozefatrun Method? We've noticed numerous awesome things about this hair loss home remedy.

  2. im not entirely versed on your situation, but you are black. And everything Ive read and the specialists told me that it won't work as well and can actually damage your face if the skin is dark as well as the hair.

  3. hey m frm India,,, I had no hair once BT now idk wht happnd dere is lot of hair grw around all over my face,,,,,,,,,,, what should I do to get rid of them?????,,,,,,,, laser will really give this bad resultπŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘

  4. you do know that hair grows everywhere on your body except the palms of your hands and your souls of your feet, its just that you don't see it (except on your arms and legs)

  5. Why didn't you go back to the clinic and ask them why this happened rather than putting out bad vibes about laser. Maybe this was how you reacted. Hope you can get it sorted.

  6. First of all you had to the doctor to see if it was ok to go in laser, they give you recommendations in places and things

  7. Its a shame you didn't have a positive experience with your laser hair removal. I am a aesthetician and have been so for over 12 years. In consultations It is paramount that anyone who comes in for laser hair removal & especially who has PCOS is informed that laser will help to manage excessive hair growth but will not completely stop or remove it. It does not sound like you was told this and also that maintenance top up treatment are needed. There are a few lasers out their now that work very well and safely for our skin type, but maybe electrolysis may be a option for you in the future.
    Wish you well x

  8. I am so pissed off. I paid 5k for bikini line and side burns. My bikini hasn't grown back and I look like I have a 5 o'clock shadow.

  9. I got laser removal a year ago on my chin area, from the best clinic I had researched, they even used the cool glide. I did ten sessions spaced monthly and it was not a cheap deal or anything I rushed into. The sessions went great, no unbearable pain, I was seeing results, my discoloration faded, skin was perfect and smooth. But close to eight to ten months after, the hair grew back and I noticed its actually more than before. If you sign up to do laser, you have to keep on going for 'fixtures'. At least twice a year or else it grows back. And age also plays a big role. The older the better, for young people it will keep growing back.
Before I went for laser, I was told it COULD simulate hair growth but for some people it does not so I was just unlucky.
My next and last hope is electrolysis. Despite all that I am glad I tried it, so now I know it is less effective for my skin. Talking for dark skin color.

  10. After my first laser appt almost no hair grew back. After the second third fourth etc a lot more hair was there then after the first time but it reduced. I've done like 10 sessions and I still need more but believe me I used to have a safari under my arms. Hopefully with more sessions this shit will be all gone

  11. I did my research and found a bomb ass salon in Los Angeles that uses Nd: YAG lasers. Not only do they use the right lasers but their prices are unbeatable! I was able to buy a 7-session package (on two areas) for $300! Oh, and the results are great too (no pain, no burning or scarring)!

  12. laser hair removal works best on people with pale to lightly tanned skin. the laser detects dark hair folicles to remove it n since ur skin colour is dark it gets confused n works on ur skin instead of actual hair. i heard that if u shave on areas of ur skin that have very light n little hair it will start growing hair so maybe the extra hair growth is the result of using razor on that area u have to shave the area u use laser on so j guess the razor went to other areas as well??? or it could b the fact that u r suffering from pcos.

  13. Great video : ) I am already after 6 sessions on underarms and bikini, after 5th there was no results on bikini or the hair was even more after shaving so many times : ( I had done my blood test on hormone levels this year and the results were excellent so I am not getting why no results except right underarm ??? After watching some videos I started to think maybe I have PCOS or something else is wrong with me to make laser treatments not as effective as I expected or maybe the technician uses lower settings to make laser less effective to force customers to purchase more treatments?? No clue…

  14. Im considering lazer hair removal for the future and idk because im worried something like this may happen but what if it works? Im hairy I've always been hairy and its sooo annoying having hair everywhere! My skin is olive brown and have daRK hair but on my body the hair is more thin and light but you can still see it bc there is so much of it. Im kinda insecure about it so im considering lazer removal but im still not sure…

  15. I have facial hair too and it bothers me a LOT, my skin is not pale or black but you can notice the hair and I don't know what to do😭😭😭 its embarrasing

  16. girl bye. the laser doesnt make hair grow. Whatever you have its caused by your own body.
